Visit to the Hong Kong Science Museum

2021-09-28
The STEM Education Team and Visual Arts Department co-organized a visit to the Hong Kong Science Museum for all S4 students on 28 Sep 2021. The world's first fully computer-animated feature film, Toy Story, was created and shown in 1995. Since then, Pixar Animation Studios has been creating many groundbreaking popular films. From the exhibition of 'The Science Behind Pixar', the students got a general idea of how people at Pixar used their creativity, imagination, artistry and computer technology to introduce a new medium for storytelling. It offered the students an unparalleled insight into how science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM) concepts are ingeniously merged together to create the lively characters and realistic scenes we see on screen.
