From 2 to 9 August 2025, our students, LI Sze-chai Isaac (5D) and JIANG Jingcheng Gordon (3B), represented Hong Kong at the 2nd International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI), held in Beijing. The IOAI is a prestigious competition that tests the world's brightest secondary school students through a series of intense team and individual contests, lasting approximately 16 hours in total. Participants are required to tackle complex AI programming tasks involving machine learning, computer vision, and natural language processing. Following several months of dedicated preparation, our students achieved outstanding results among nearly 300 contestants worldwide. Isaac earned a Bronze Medal in the Individual Contest, in which he also achieved a top 5% ranking for one of the tasks. Furthermore, both students secured a place in the top 25% in the Team Challenge. These remarkable accomplishments are a testament to their passion and commitment to AI and set a high standard for future global competitions. Overall, the Hong Kong team secured one Gold Medal, one Silver Medal, two Bronze Medals, and three Honourable Mentions. Our sincere congratulations go to Isaac, Gordon, and the entire Hong Kong team on their excellent performance.
